What should you eat before you work out?

A successful exercise depends as much on what you eat before as it does on when you eat it. Before the exercise, a simple meal and

some fast-acting sweets will definitely provide you the energy you need without making you feel heavy. This is particularly valid

when you're about to enter the aerobic phase. Consider honey, bagels, cereal, white bread, and fruit. It's better to reserve the

heavier carbohydrates, such pasta and rice, until after your workout. Remember to bring water as well. Either too little or too

much might make you feel heavy and lethargic before working exercise. A diet deficient in electrolytes and water can cause your

heart and other muscles to contract, which can impair performance and cause dehydration and a delay in recovery.
