Should you avoid grapefruit if you have diabetes?

Although grapefruit is consumed all over the world, it is linked to medication

interactions that can have serious negative consequences. Grapefruit, on the

other hand, is high in flavonoids and may be good for diabetics. Consuming

grapefruit has been linked to lower insulin and fasting blood glucose levels.

Because it has a low glycemic load, it is less likely than foods with a high glycemic load

to trigger blood sugar rises. Consuming the entire fruit is preferable to consuming its juice.
